»It's a small world«

This work is a 3D animation of a spinning earth, which was created as the result of a workshop with some Japanese junior high school students. Yamashita and Kobayashi asked the students to draw maps of the world based on their individual perspectives, and converted the maps to spherical figures of the realistic earth by means of a 3D computer programme.(The characters appearing on the screen are the students' signatures.)
本作は数名の中学二年生とのワークショップを通して作られた回転する地球の3Dアニメーション作品である。山下と小林が、中学２年生の生徒たちに、各々の記憶で世界地図を描いてもらい、それを3Dで、リアルな地球の姿に描き直した。（画面右下にあるのは生徒が書いたサイン）
