»GOING MAINSTREAM/メインストリームを行く«

Commissioned by Aichi Triennale 2010, with support from the Nomura Foundation

In a misconstrued attempt at achieving the basic artistic and human desire to “go mainstream”, Yamashita and Kobayashi battle against the world’s two largest rivers, the Nile and the Amazon, while riding in a small inflatable boat. The film documents the two journeys, both covering approximately 30 km.
世界最大級の河川、ナイル川とアマゾン川に小さなゴムボートで挑み、「世界のメインストリームを行きたい」というアーティストの、そして人間の根源的欲求を間違ったかたちで成就させたプロジェクト。 各々約３０km下った旅のドキュメント。
