This video was shot on the German coast of the Baltic Sea.
Yamashita and Kobayashi counted and numbered 1,000 waves, digitally placing the corresponding number afloat upon each wave.
Waves approach the shore in a never-ending flow, one after another, and have an ambiguous form that is difficult to count. This piece depicts a struggle between the two artists and the Baltic Sea.
ドイツ、バルト海に面した海岸で撮影された作品。
作中、波が１０００まで数えられ、同時に波の上に数字がふられてゆく。
波は曖昧で、数えるべき形を持たず、そして永遠にやって来る。本作はいわば、二人の日本人アーティストとバルト海との戦いのようなものである。
